1 – Tell us a bit about yourself

I’m Marco, born and raised in Milan, but I’ve been living in Cervinia for several years where I’m completing my mountain guide certification. I started with skiing and MTB in Lombardy, then moved into extreme freeride on Monte Rosa and beyond, opening new lines with Fay Manners.

2 – What is your favorite outdoor activity?

Freeriding on unexplored lines, combining ski mountaineering and climbing. It’s that mix of technique, risk, and discovery that truly makes me feel alive. Every now and then, though, I also enjoy a slow hike: the best way to clear my mind, slow down, and regain balance.

3 – What is your favorite place to explore?

Gran Paradiso and less-traveled areas like Valnontey or Cogne: massive faces, perfect snow, and still so much unknown terrain to explore and be the first to trace.

4 – Why did you decide to become a RedElk Ambassador?

For many years, I’ve shared a deep passion for the outdoors with RedElk. In every mountain experience, I’ve always been able to rely on their support: for me, it’s essential to wear reliable and comfortable garments, capable of delivering the right level of technical performance thanks to materials that ensure breathability, freedom of movement, and durability even in the most demanding conditions. At the same time, I actively contribute to the brand’s growth by field-testing products and providing concrete, targeted feedback.

5 – How do you feel connected to the RedElk philosophy?

I feel connected to the RedElk philosophy because it is built on comfort and simplicity in the outdoor experience. When you wear the right outfit—so comfortable and functional that you forget you have it on—you can fully focus on what truly matters: the experience, the movement, and authentic contact with nature.

6 – What is your favorite RedElk piece?

I love the CROWN shell jacket and the BARK shell pants, and now their evolution VINCENT and PARROT, which have accompanied me on countless adventures. I choose them for their premium and durable fabrics, excellent breathability, and protection from rain and wind: technical and ergonomic garments that allow me to move freely even in the toughest conditions, always in total comfort.

7 – Would you like to share a special memory related to RedElk clothing?

The first descent of “Navigando fra le spine” on Becco della Pazienza in 2025 was a blend of technique, adrenaline, and determination. Wearing my RedElk outfit, I tackled sharp ridges, snow, and demanding passages feeling fully protected, never once worrying about my clothing.

8 – What advice would you give to someone who wants to start an outdoor sport?

Start gradually, with caution and respect for the mountains. Always study the conditions, rely on experienced people, and learn step by step. And above all, enjoy the journey—not just the summit.

9 – What is your next challenge?

An extreme line in the Mattertal or on Gran Sasso, perhaps together with Fay Manners. New faces to ski first, pushing the limit a little further in 2026.
