1 – Tell us a bit about yourself

I am a Mountain Guide and Ski Instructor. The mountains are not only my workplace, but also my greatest passion.

2 – What is your favorite outdoor activity?

My favorite activities follow the seasons. In winter I love skiing in all its forms, styles, and places where it can be practiced. I also really enjoy speed riding, an activity that combines skiing and flying. In summer I go to the mountains to climb and do mountaineering, while in spring I love cycling, both mountain biking and road cycling. In every season, if I can, I fly with my paraglider, slowing down the activity only during winter.

3 – What is your favorite place to explore?

My favorite place to explore is my Aosta Valley: a magical valley, with an average altitude of 2,500 meters and still many very wild corners. During the shoulder seasons, those less crowded by tourism, it offers us tranquility and peace.

4 – Why did you decide to become a RedElk Ambassador?

Together with Mattia Tresca, we were among the first to introduce speed riding in Italy and in the Aosta Valley. Around 2015, RedElk contacted us to see if we were interested in collaborating by testing and improving their products. After meeting Luca, the CEO of RedElk, we decided to start this collaboration and, more than 10 years later, we are still working together. I am truly grateful to the RedElk team for believing in us and for the spirit of collaboration that still accompanies us today.

5 – In what way do you feel close to the RedElk philosophy?

The RedElk philosophy combines the needs of those who frequent the mountains with a passion for the mountains themselves, and that is why I strongly identify with it. As a guide, I try to meet the needs of those who experience the mountains, providing emotions in safety. RedElk does something similar: it allows us to move easily and always protected in a challenging and meteorologically variable environment. The versatility of the garments and the entire collection allows me to always feel comfortable in all seasons and in all the conditions the mountains bring us to face: air, wind, snow, ice, and rock.

6 – What is your favorite RedElk item?

My favorite item is the OSWIN, a lightweight three-season fleece that inspires adventure. Thanks to Red Fleece Bubble technology and its honeycomb structure, it ensures quick drying and great breathability. I wear it on every occasion and it always provides the right comfort to fully enjoy every adventure.

7 – Would you like to share a special memory related to RedElk apparel?

A few months ago I set off from the Swiss side of Pizzo Badile to climb the North Ridge. RedElk accompanied me from the first light of dawn until sunset, through a multitude of different conditions and temperatures. From the lighter and more breathable garments to the warmer and waterproof ones, I always felt at ease.

8 – What advice would you give to someone who wants to approach an outdoor sport?

My personal advice is to prepare physically and technically, and this also includes choosing the right clothing for every situation. When we are outdoors, it is not like being at home, where we can adjust the temperature. In the mountains it is essential to dress appropriately and be aware that conditions can change very quickly.

9 – What is your next challenge?

My next big challenge will be to share with as many people as possible everything I have learned and experienced over the years.

Sharing our passions is a commitment to future generations, to give them goals and teach them to live with respect for themselves, for others, and for nature.

I believe it is important to live life at 100%. We are fortunate to have been born and raised in wonderful places, where it is still possible to live in peace. To honor all this, we must live every moment of our lives with great intensity, in harmony and love with people and with nature.
