1 – Tell us a bit about yourself

I work as a doctor in a local hospital and live in Domodossola, a beautiful town surrounded by the Ossola Valleys in northern Piedmont. In my free time I love being in the mountains, and this area allows you to practice many sports right on your doorstep, from trail running to climbing, from ski mountaineering to cross-country skiing.

2 – What is your favorite outdoor activity?

My favorite sport is definitely ski mountaineering. I especially love the ascents, but I also enjoy long descents in fresh snow, especially when shared with friends.

3 – What is your favorite place to explore?

The Val d’Ossola holds a special place in my heart, but whenever we can, my boyfriend and I travel for long weekends to Liguria and Trentino.

4 – Why did you decide to become a RedElk Ambassador?

When RedElk contacted me, I was thrilled to start collaborating as an ambassador, as I already knew the brand, especially for their compressible down jackets with a practical backpack pouch, a solution I find very convenient. I already owned other garments from them, and I had been positively impressed by the quality of the materials and the advanced comfort.

5 – In what way do you feel close to the RedElk philosophy?

We both share the same passion for open spaces, nature, and sport, and we want to live these passions without distractions caused by inadequate clothing. RedElk’s focus on comfort was what was missing in the outdoor clothing landscape.

6 – What is your favorite RedElk item?

I love the FOX 2 jacket! It is lightweight, comfortable, and offers excellent protection from wind and snow. And let’s not forget the fantastic colorways that make it beautiful to wear!

7 – Would you like to share a special memory related to RedElk apparel?

I was very happy when RedElk agreed to provide a series of down jackets and fleeces for my team of the Piedmont Alpine and Speleological Rescue (10th Delegation – Valdossola), and it is wonderful to see that these garments are used by my teammates even in their free time and not only during station activities.

8 – What advice would you give to someone who wants to approach an outdoor sport?

Always remember that safety comes first, and, especially in the mountains, planning your outings (and using tracking apps, etc.) is essential.

9 – What is your next challenge?

I would like to get back to climbing more regularly to regain a good level, as I did before the arrival of the Covid pandemic.

In the mountains as in everyday life, everyone has their own pace, their own timing, and their own way of facing things. The important thing is to respect others and to respect yourself.
