1 – Tell us a bit about yourself

I was born and raised in Italy and my passion has always been running and skiing in the mountains. I have been living in Sweden for 11 years now and have spent the last 4 years in Northern Sweden.

2 – What is your favorite outdoor activity?

Without a doubt, mountain running in summer and ski mountaineering in winter.

3 – What is your favorite place to explore?

Home sweet home. The mountains around Lecco are always my favorite place, but even here in Northern Sweden there are incredible spots such as Sylarna or the entire area known as the Jämtland Triangle.

4 – Why did you decide to become a RedElk Ambassador?

It all started with an old RAUL fleece that I bought many years ago. When it was time to replace it, I contacted RedElk to ask if they had the same model in stock. The fact that I was based in Northern Sweden and could help test products here gave me the opportunity to become part of the RedElk team.

5 – In what way do you feel close to the RedElk philosophy?

My connection to the mountains is linked to the desire to explore and enjoy the time spent there, without having to give up comfort and (especially for me) warmth.

6 – What is your favorite RedElk item?

For many years it was the RAUL fleece, but now I can’t live without my ALLIEVI and MIR, the perfect combination to stay warm and comfortable when temperatures drop below -10°C and I go out for a run or a ski mountaineering tour.

8 – What advice would you give to someone who wants to approach an outdoor sport?

Never underestimate the mountains. The mountains are a unique world, but one that must be known and understood.

9 – What is your next challenge?

At the moment, it is getting my knee back in shape and returning to running and skiing. As soon as possible, for a couple of years now I have wanted to complete the winter traverse of Stora Syltraversen. A 15 km approach to this isolated mountain with one of the few alpine-style traverses here in Northern Sweden.
