1 – Tell us a bit about yourself

About ten years ago I made a choice from the heart: I left a secure job to chase my biggest dream, to live and work in the mountains. I wanted to ski in winter and ride mountain bikes in summer… and with the extraordinary support of partners like RedElk, that dream became reality! Today I can proudly say that I have traced several first monoski descents in the beautiful Cuneo area, becoming one of the reference names in Italy for this sport. For me, winter means only one thing: full-on skiing! But it doesn’t end there: when the warm season arrives, I get on my MTB and enthusiastically dedicate myself to Mondolè MTB School, the school I founded. It’s a wonderful adventure, made up of guides and instructors who share my same passion: having fun and helping others have fun in the bike parks of Prato Nevoso and Artesina!

2 – What is your favorite outdoor activity?

Without a doubt, freeride skiing! The feeling of gliding freely through the mountains, without barriers, is pure magic. It’s pure adrenaline, a mix of freedom and lightness that has no equal. In summer I change scenery and jump on my mountain bike: different emotions, but always a concentration of fun. Okay, maybe it doesn’t reach the same magic as skiing… but it remains the best way to experience the warm season with full energy!

3 – What is your favorite place to explore?

My “home garden”: the Ligurian and Maritime Alps. I don’t think you need to go far to experience great adventures: often they are waiting just around the corner. It’s up to us to seize them!

4 – Why did you decide to become a RedElk Ambassador?

RedElk has been by my side since 2019 and for me it’s not just a brand: it’s a true adventure partner. I have always found a company attentive to the needs of those who live the mountains, with a genuine desire to create products that last over time and truly make a difference. What strikes me most? Seeing how RedElk grows and improves season after season: it’s an inspiration that pushes me to always give my best!

5 – In what way do you feel close to the RedElk philosophy?

I fully embrace the RedElk philosophy of “plunge into nature”: immersing yourself in nature to regenerate and truly experience it 360°. For me, the mountains have been a reason for rebirth and personal growth that over the years helped me establish myself and grow professionally, making them part of my work as the final product.

6 – What is your favorite RedElk item?

Without a doubt the shells: the CROWN jacket and the BARK pants. They are my inseparable winter companions: they keep me dry even on the toughest days and, thanks to the adjustable layers, guarantee total comfort in any temperature. They are my essential kit! And this year I can’t wait to test the new arrivals from the hard-shell line: the VINCENT jacket and the GRINNER pants. And then there’s a garment I love even off the slopes: the Edgar shirt. Perfect for a post-ski evening with friends!

7 – Would you like to share a special memory related to RedElk apparel?

One night in a bivouac… without a sleeping bag! I saved myself thanks to my RedElk down jackets: one on top and one turned inside out where I slipped my legs in. It was my “emergency blanket” and it literally saved me that night. Since then I never fail to bring an extra one in the van!

8 – What advice would you give to someone who wants to approach an outdoor sport?

First of all: rely on professionals. The mountains are wonderful, but they must be respected. For those who ski, I recommend knowing your equipment perfectly, especially your avalanche safety gear (transceiver, shovel, and probe). Every transceiver is slightly different, and it’s essential to know how to use your own properly and coordinate with your companions. And then one golden rule: never be afraid to turn back and always operate at 60% of your abilities, so you have a margin in case of unexpected situations. As for the rest… skiing, monoskiing, telemark, or snowboarding are simply different ways of enjoying the snow. Everyone must choose the tool that best represents them. Me? I use them all, because every style offers different sensations! For those interested in cycling disciplines, go to bike parks! They will give you the right confidence to safely tackle more challenging mountain descents. It’s the best way to have fun, learn, and then push yourself a little further each time.

9 – What is your next challenge?

To make monoskiing increasingly known and widespread in the Alps! With my MonoSplit provided by Snowgunz Monoskis, I try to “sign” as many mountains as possible. It’s a different way of moving in the mountains: like rewriting a book you’ve already read, but with new eyes. Imagine: the Canale dei Genovesi or Mondolè, mountains I had already ridden dozens of times on skis… yet no one had ever tackled them on a monoski! It was incredible to be able to leave that first track, a unique mark that will remain there forever.
